What to Wear with Evening Gowns?
We all love evening gowns and western gowns because of their elegance and beauty. Even though we love them, they can be worn on only special occasions, which calls for tips for carrying them. So I am sharing some of the tried tips on what to wear with evening gowns.
1. FLATTERING CAMISOLE:
A lean camisole dress is a classic evening look. This sort of gown is usually made of silk or other soft, sensual fabric and cut on the diagonal for the most flattering, comfortable fitting. It is a simple style that focuses on the finery of the fabric and which never diverts from the beauty of the wearer. A camisole dress is fabricated to hug the figure so gracefully that it almost seems like a second layer of skin. For a more modern-day twist on this classic style, pick a racer-back rather than the more ubiquitous spaghetti straps. A racerback compliments the shoulders and back.
2. A MODERN TOUCH WITH A SHIRT:
If you want to soften the overall appearance of your gown a little or feel a little more covered up, why not put on a shirt? A complete style in chiffon or similar adds an extra dimension of interest to your outfit but doesn’t cover any of the details of your gown.
3. ADD A LITTLE WARMTH WITH A BLAZER:
Designing an evening gown with a blazer is perfect for adding a little coziness on cooler evenings. Any fabric goes for the blazer. Think about pairing it with boots, as discussed below, with an oversized blazer for a very toned-down look. Or choose a tailored, lustrous jacket to hold the elegant silhouette of your gown.
4. WHAT ABOUT A FEATHERED GOWN:
Currently, we are less likely to see bejeweled gowns in support of lower-key looks. Feathers, therefore, perfectly fit in this trend, by adding decadent bold detailing without looking too overdone or loud. A feathered skirt looks amazing beneath a boned corset-style top. The feathers can be any color you wish, of course, but it is hard to compete with black feathers for drama.
5. CREATE A BOLD LOOK WITH BOOTS:
The current love for more muted luxe means that boots or even trainers are on the list of possible footwear. Why not differentiate the traditional, subtle, feminine beauty of your gown with something a little bolder? You can add on a chunky boot or a slimmer high-heeled boot, or anything in between to your evening gown.

6. REINVENT WITH A BELT:
If you want to re-design a dress with very little effort, try adding a belt. The adding up of small detail like this can combine colors and textures, delivering a bold contrast and even changing the profile of your gown. A wide leather belt in black or tan leather wrapped up once and fastened neatly is just perfect. You could also experiment with a longer, thinner belt wrapped around twice for a more lively look.
7. FEMININE LOOK WITH A TULLE GOWN:
If you are searching for something graceful, dream-like, and incredibly feminine, then a tulle gown is the outfit for you. Tulle gowns go well with all colors, from show-stopping rainbow bright to subtle, ballet pastels. Select the one with maximum ruffles that will flow beautifully as you dance, a corseted top for a flattering tightened waist, and exciting elements on the straps. Go confident and low-key by styling a traditional gown with boots, blazer, belt, or shirt, opt for drama with a cape or feathers, or gentle and feminine with tulle or silk.
